Custom embroidered beanies for fashion brands, music merch lines, sports teams, streetwear designers, ski/snow brands, conference and event planners, and creators wanting branded winter headwear with the dimensional texture of real embroidery. Each beanie is ultra-soft acrylic fabric with your logo, artwork, or branding stitched directly onto the surface in embroidered thread.

Alchemy is a production partner built by artists, musicians, and brand owners. We've helped creators produce over 5 million custom products since 2019, and we don't operate like a promotional products company. Whether you're an indie illustrator running your first 50-piece drop, a band making merch for a tour, or a designer ordering for a brand launch, our job is the same: make the best merch we can for you.

What embroidered beanies are

The beanie body is a standard knit acrylic cuff-style beanie. Your custom design is embroidered onto the front (or back, or both — your choice) using colored thread, creating a raised, textured logo that reads as real applied branding rather than a printed-on logo. Embroidery is the most common form of beanie customization for branded merchandise because it ages well, holds up through washing, and gives the beanie a finished retail-merch look.

For designs woven directly INTO the beanie fabric (no surface embroidery, distinctive pixelated texture), see our jacquard beanies. Pick embroidered for typical logo or applied-design work; pick jacquard when you want the design to be part of the beanie's structure.

How a run actually works

Most orders start with a quote, not a cart. You send us your artwork, and we come back with pricing, a production timeline, and any production notes within a business day or two. We'll flag anything in the file that won't translate well at production size before we move forward.

From proof approval, most overseas products are about a month to your door. That's the nature of producing 100% custom merchandise overseas vs. shipping a stock promotional item. Shipping is express and included in the price.

If you have a hard deadline, tell us before you order. We don't charge rush fees. We'll either confirm we can hit your date or tell you up front that we can't, so you can plan around it.

Why our beanie minimum is 100

Beanies have a higher MOQ floor than our other products because the production process — yarn sourcing, jacquard weaving or embroidery setup, knitted construction, finishing — has more independent steps than printing on a flat substrate. Each step has its own setup cost. Below 100 units, the per-beanie price climbs sharply because the setup is amortized over too few pieces. 100 is where the math works. Larger runs (200, 500, 1000+) bring the per-beanie cost down meaningfully.

Who we work with

Artists running their own work: illustrators, bands, indie brand owners, podcasters, comic creators, convention sellers. Designers ordering for a brand launch, an event, a campaign, or a customer giveaway. Agencies and design studios producing merch for their clients. Merch companies running production for the artists they represent. The common thread is that the merch matters: it's representing a brand, a band, an artist, or a project that someone cares about.

Common questions

How is embroidered different from jacquard?

Embroidered stitches your design ON TOP of the beanie in thread. Jacquard weaves the design INTO the beanie fabric using colored threads. Embroidered handles more detail and looks like applied branding; jacquard creates a textured pixelated look that's part of the fabric structure. Embroidered is the more common choice for typical logo work. More on jacquard beanies here.

How many colors can the embroidery have?

Multiple thread colors are supported. Most logo work uses 2-6 colors. Higher color counts are possible but each color requires a thread change in the embroidery process, which can affect timing and cost on very complex designs. Email us with your artwork for an exact quote.

What size is the embroidered area?

Standard placement is approximately 3" wide × 2" tall on the cuff or front of the beanie. Larger or differently positioned embroidery is available — email us with your placement requirements.

Do you have wool beanies?

Standard is acrylic. Wool or wool-blend beanies are available on request for premium projects; email us with your specs for a custom quote.

Can I get embroidery on the back as well?

Yes. Front + back embroidery is available for an additional cost. Common pattern: brand logo on front, supplemental design or text on back.

How long do embroidered beanies take?

About four weeks from proof approval to your door, including express shipping. No rush fees.

Do I see a proof before production?

Yes. Digital proof showing the embroidered design and placement. Revisions until you approve.

Are these made in the USA?

Beanies are produced overseas at long-vetted factories. Our team is US-based and handles file prep, proofing, and customer success. Our wooden products and stickers are made in the USA.
