Custom two-sided acrylic standees for retail displays viewed from multiple angles, rotating display tables, glass cases, convention tables where customers approach from any side, and any merchandise where the back of the standee matters as much as the front. Two-sided means your artwork prints on both faces — same design mirrored, or different art on each side (the shape needs to match, but the artwork can vary).

Alchemy is a production partner built by artists, musicians, and brand owners. We've helped creators produce over 5 million custom products since 2019, and we don't operate like a promotional products company. Whether you're an indie illustrator running your first 50-piece drop, a band making merch for a tour, or a designer ordering for a brand launch, our job is the same: make the best merch we can for you.

What a two-sided acrylic standee is

An acrylic standee is a flat acrylic piece cut to the outline of your design that slots into a coordinating base. Two-sided standees print artwork on both the front and back face, so the standee reads from any angle. Common use case: a character or branded illustration where the front shows the character and the back shows the brand mark, alternate art, or a mirrored version of the front.

For displays where only the front will be visible, the more economical option is our single-sided acrylic standees, which have a clean white back instead of a second printed face.

Sizing and pricing

Pricing is based on total size — pick a height first, then a width. The "size" includes a 3mm bleed of clear acrylic around the edge of your art (6mm total when counting both left and right edges), which is a manufacturing requirement to keep the die-cut clean. So a 6" standee will have your artwork at about 5.75" plus the clear acrylic edge.

If your artwork falls between two of our listed sizes (for example, 5.5"), it rounds up to the next size's pricing. If you're unsure of the size your art needs, email it to us and we'll review.

The shape of the front and back must match (same outline cut), but the artwork itself can be completely different on each face — same image mirrored, character art front and brand mark back, or two distinct designs that share an outline.

How a run actually works

Most orders start with a quote, not a cart. You send us your artwork (vector preferred for clean lines, raster works for full-color), and we come back with pricing, a production timeline, and any production notes within a business day or two. We'll flag anything in the file that won't translate well at production size before we move forward.

From proof approval, most overseas products are about a month to your door. That's the nature of producing 100% custom merchandise overseas vs. shipping a stock promotional item. Shipping is express and included in the price.

If you have a hard deadline, tell us before you order. We don't charge rush fees. We'll either confirm we can hit your date or tell you up front that we can't, so you can plan around it.

Why our minimum is 50

It's a factory math thing, not a quality stance. The factories we work with charge a labor minimum that covers setup, mold use, proofing, and the production run itself. That floor barely changes between a 25-piece and a 50-piece order, so a 25-piece run costs almost the same as 50 with half the output. 50 is where the per-piece price actually starts to make sense.

We can run smaller hard sample runs if you really need to (the factory will do it), but it's not financially viable for most people: you're paying close to 50-piece pricing for a fraction of the output. If you're set on a small run, email us first and we'll walk through whether it's worth it. Larger runs (100, 200, and up) bring the per-piece cost down meaningfully.

Who we work with

Artists running their own work: illustrators, bands, indie brand owners, podcasters, comic creators, convention sellers. Designers ordering for a brand launch, an event, a campaign, or a customer giveaway. Agencies and design studios producing merch for their clients. Merch companies running production for the artists they represent. The common thread is that the merch matters: it's representing a brand, a band, an artist, or a project that someone cares about.

Common questions

Does the artwork have to be the same on both sides?

No. Two-sided standees support different artwork on each face. The shape of the cut must match (same outline on both sides), but the printed designs can be completely different. Common pattern: character or main artwork on the front, brand mark / alternate art / mirrored image on the back.

Why does the shape have to match between front and back?

The cut is a single die-cut through both acrylic layers. The outline can only be one shape. Within that outline, the prints on each face can be completely different.

Why does the size include a 3mm bleed?

The factory needs clear acrylic around the edge of your printed design to keep the die-cut clean. We handle it in file prep so you don't need to design around it. The bleed reads as clear acrylic by default.

What artwork format works best?

High-resolution raster (300 DPI or better at print size) with transparent background, PSD or PNG. Vector also works. The print is CMYK; RGB converts and we proof carefully. For two-sided standees, you'll need two artwork files (one per face) unless you want the same design mirrored on both sides.

Will the print scratch off?

The prints are sandwiched between acrylic layers and protected from direct contact. The outer acrylic surface itself can scratch over time with heavy use, but the prints underneath stay intact.

How long do standee orders take?

About four weeks from proof approval to your door, including express shipping. No rush fees.

Do I see a proof before production?

Yes. Digital proof showing both sides plus the bleed handling before production starts. Revisions until you approve.

Are these made in the USA?

Acrylic standees are produced overseas at long-vetted factories. Our team is US-based and handles file prep, proofing, and customer success. Our wooden products and stickers are made in the USA.
