Custom PVC shoe charms for Crocs, shoelaces, and brand merchandise. Each charm is molded to the precise shape of your artwork (no flat printed design, the whole charm IS the design) and snaps into Crocs or attaches to laces with optional adapters. We make these at 3mm thickness — the standard for charms that need to hold up to actual wear, not the flimsy 1.5mm versions you see on cheap drop-shippers.

Alchemy is a production partner built by artists, musicians, and brand owners. We've helped creators produce over 5 million custom products since 2019, and we don't operate like a promotional products company. Whether you're an indie illustrator running your first 50-piece drop, a band making merch for a tour, or a designer ordering for a brand launch, our job is the same: make the best merch we can for you.

What PVC shoe charms actually are

PVC shoe charms are durable plastic ornaments shaped to your custom artwork, with a built-in clip designed to snap into the holes of Crocs or similar perforated shoes. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a flexible-but-firm plastic that holds detail well in molding and survives daily wear. The factory creates a custom mold from your design (included in the price), and each charm is molded to that exact shape with the colors built into the plastic itself rather than printed on top.

If you need shape flexibility beyond the standard charm form (different attachment, larger size, alternate use cases), see our custom PVC keychains for the same molding process applied to keychains.

Why 3mm thickness matters

A lot of PVC shoe charms on the market are made at 1.5mm thickness because it's cheaper to produce. They flex and bend too easily, snap when stepped on, and look obviously cheap when held next to a real product. We make ours at 3mm because that's the thickness where the charm holds shape, doesn't flex when clipped to a shoe, and reads as a real product instead of a freebie. It costs more to manufacture and we charge accordingly, but the difference is visible in hand.

How a run actually works

Most orders start with a quote, not a cart. You send us your artwork (vector, raster, sketch, Procreate file, whatever you have), and we come back with pricing, a production timeline, and any production notes within a business day or two. We'll flag anything in the file that won't translate well at production size before we move forward, so you're not surprised at proof.

From proof approval, most overseas products are about a month to your door. That's the nature of producing 100% custom merchandise overseas vs. shipping a stock promotional item. Shipping is express and included in the price.

If you have a hard deadline, tell us before you order. We don't charge rush fees. We'll either confirm we can hit your date or tell you up front that we can't, so you can plan around it.

Why our minimum is 100

PVC shoe charms have a higher floor than our other products because PVC molding has a more complex per-run setup than acrylic or enamel. The factory still charges a labor minimum that barely changes between 50 and 100 pieces, so the math just doesn't work below 100. Once you're past that floor, the per-piece price drops meaningfully on larger runs. Reprints of the same design (or a variant with new colors) save $50 because the mold is already created.

Who we work with

Artists running their own work: illustrators, bands, indie brand owners, podcasters, comic creators, convention sellers. Designers ordering for a brand launch, an event, a campaign, or a customer giveaway. Agencies and design studios producing merch for their clients. Merch companies running production for the artists they represent. The common thread is that the merch matters: it's representing a brand, a band, an artist, or a project that someone cares about.

Common questions

Will these fit Crocs?

Yes. The clip backing is sized to snap into the standard Croc hole (the small round perforations across the top and sides of Crocs). Same fit as factory Croc charms (Jibbitz). The charm sits flush against the shoe surface.

Can they attach to regular shoelaces?

Yes, with an optional shoelace adapter (specify in your order notes). The adapter clips around the lace and provides a different backing that holds the charm without needing a Croc-style hole.

How is this different from a PVC keychain?

Same material, same molding process, different attachment hardware. Shoe charms have the snap-clip backing for Crocs. PVC keychains have keyring or lobster claw hardware for keys. If you want both, we can quote them as separate runs.

Why is the minimum 100 instead of 50?

PVC molding has a more complex setup than acrylic or enamel, which raises the factory's labor floor on small runs. Below 100 pieces, the per-piece price climbs steeply because the setup gets amortized over too few units. 100 is where the math starts to work.

Does the design need outlines or simple linework?

Yes. Like enamel pins, PVC charms need clear color separations because each color requires its own mold layer. Highly detailed photo-realistic art doesn't translate to PVC; we'll review your file and tell you if it needs simplification before going to mold.

Can I do print variants on the same shape?

Yes. Same shape with color changes is the most economical variant style — you save $50 on each reorder because the mold is already created. Tell us in your order notes which color changes you want.

How long do PVC shoe charms take?

About four weeks from proof approval to your door, including express shipping. The mold creation step is included in the timeline. No rush fees.

Do I see a proof before production?

Yes. Digital proof for review before mold creation. We'll show you exactly how the artwork will translate to the mold including color choices and any needed simplifications.

Are these made in the USA?

PVC shoe charms are produced overseas at long-vetted factories. Our team is US-based and handles file prep, proofing, and customer success. Our wooden products and stickers are made in the USA.
