Rush custom UV printed pins for projects that can't wait the standard four-week turnaround. From the moment you approve the digital proof, rush UV pins land at your door in 12 to 14 days — roughly half the standard timeline. The catch is shape and size: rush only runs at our set circle sizes (1", 1.25", 1.5", 1.75", or 2") in standard UV print configuration. No custom shapes, no enamel finishes, no specialty modifications.

Alchemy is a production partner built by artists, musicians, and brand owners. We've helped creators produce over 5 million custom products since 2019, and we don't operate like a promotional products company. Whether you're an indie illustrator running your first 50-piece drop, a band making merch for a tour, or a designer ordering for a brand launch, our job is the same: make the best merch we can for you.

When rush UV pins are the right choice

Rush works when:

  • Your event, drop, or release is locked to a date and you don't have four weeks to wait
  • Your design fits one of the set rush sizes without compromise
  • UV printing (full color on metal) is the right finish for your artwork
  • You're willing to commit to standard shape and configuration to get the speed

Rush isn't the right call when your design needs a custom shape, a specific enamel finish, hybrid construction, or any specialty work that the standard UV pin process doesn't include. For non-rush UV pins with full customization options, see our standard custom UV printed pins.

Why UV printing for rush specifically

UV printing is the print method that scales to rush production cleanly. The factory holds dedicated press time and pre-stocked metal blanks in our set sizes, which is what makes 12-14 day delivery possible. Enamel pins can't run on the same accelerated timeline because mold creation and the bake/buff process have inherent labor floors that don't compress regardless of how much rush capacity is set aside.

What you get

  • Print: Full-color UV directly on metal, sealed with thin clear protective coating
  • Sizes: 1", 1.25", 1.5", 1.75", or 2" circles only (no custom sizes or shapes)
  • Metal finish: Standard plating options included
  • Hardware: Standard pin clutch backing
  • Express shipping included

How a rush run works

You send us your artwork in one of our set rush sizes (1", 1.25", 1.5", 1.75", or 2"). We come back with pricing and a digital proof within a business day or two. From the moment you approve the proof, the rush order is in production and lands at your door in 12 to 14 days. That's roughly half the time of a standard UV pin run.

The catch: rush only works at the sizes listed and only on UV-printed pins (no enamel, no specialty finishes, no custom shapes outside the set sizes). The factory has dedicated capacity and tooling for these specific configurations, which is what makes the timeline possible.

Why our minimum is 50

It's a factory math thing, not a quality stance. The factories we work with charge a labor minimum that covers setup, mold use, proofing, and the production run itself. That floor barely changes between a 25-piece and a 50-piece order, so a 25-piece run costs almost the same as 50 with half the output. 50 is where the per-piece price actually starts to make sense.

We can run smaller hard sample runs if you really need to (the factory will do it), but it's not financially viable for most people: you're paying close to 50-piece pricing for a fraction of the output. If you're set on a small run, email us first and we'll walk through whether it's worth it. Larger runs (100, 200, and up) bring the per-piece cost down meaningfully.

Who we work with

Artists running their own work: illustrators, bands, indie brand owners, podcasters, comic creators, convention sellers. Designers ordering for a brand launch, an event, a campaign, or a customer giveaway. Agencies and design studios producing merch for their clients. Merch companies running production for the artists they represent. The common thread is that the merch matters: it's representing a brand, a band, an artist, or a project that someone cares about.

What you get with Alchemy

  • Quality good enough for licensed brands. We've produced merch for officially licensed properties and large brands.
  • A team of artists, musicians, and brand owners. Not customer-service reps trained on a script.

Common questions

Can I rush a custom shape pin?

No. Rush only works at our set circle sizes (1", 1.25", 1.5", 1.75", or 2"). Custom shapes require additional mold work that breaks the accelerated timeline. For custom-shape UV pins, see our standard UV printed pins on a four-week timeline.

Can I rush enamel pins instead of UV?

No. Enamel pins (hard or soft) require mold creation, baking, and finishing steps that have inherent labor floors. The 12-14 day timeline only works for UV printing on pre-stocked metal blanks. For rushed enamel work, email us with your specific deadline and we'll see what's possible — sometimes we can compress overseas timelines, but it's case-by-case.

What artwork format works best?

High-resolution raster (300 DPI or better at print size). Vector also works. CMYK preferred but we convert from RGB and proof carefully. Designs need to be production-ready when submitted — there's less room in the rush timeline for major file revisions.

What if my proof needs revisions?

Revisions still happen — we won't go to print on a proof you don't approve. But significant revisions can push the 12-14 day timeline because the clock starts on proof approval, not order placement. Submit clean, production-ready artwork to keep the timeline tight.

How much do rush UV pins cost vs standard?

Rush pricing is comparable to standard UV pins because the production process is the same — what's different is timeline, not labor. Quote will reflect the rush configuration's set sizes; for full customization, standard UV pins are the better quote path.

Are these made in the USA?

Rush UV pins are produced overseas at long-vetted factories (the same factories as our standard UV pins) with dedicated rush capacity. Our team is US-based and handles file prep, proofing, and customer success.

Design Templates

Set up your artwork at the correct size with proper bleed and safe zones using our production templates. Vector files (PDF/AI/EPS) are preferred for clean lines and scaling; raster (PSD) works for full-color artwork at 300dpi.
