3D Modeled Digital Pins

Hire Alchemy to create your 3D rendered artwork for you use for promotional/mock up help on campaigns, your storefront, etc.  We provide the files and how you use them is up to you.  

We will create a 3D rendered pin and provide the GLB file, png and can provide a hosted link to a viewer where you can do a screen record video if you'd like of it rotating or to paste the code onto a site like ours below.  

This service is purely art creation as a 3D model and the associated files.  Many people like to use these to up their campaigns on places like kickstarter or to represent items in their store as a mock up.  

 

Backing Cards & Backstamps 

What is a backstamp?  
On a physical pin, it's typically your logo added to the back of the pin in raised metal.  We can add any single color image in the metal for you, just like a physical pin.  This is a way to add additional branding to your pin.

If I have a backstamp and a card, can you see it?
If you also add in a backing card (we set the center to a glass material typically), it will be hard to see the backstamp clearly and we have to charge to add it because of the additional art time labor required to add the stamp.  It's up to you if you'd like both or not.

How do I design for a backing card?
We have two different stock card sizes available.  The Top Header has a middle section that is a square shape.  The Left Header has a middle section that is 80mmx54mm proportions (same as our physical pin cards).  It's best to open the file and place your artwork in the areas how you'd like it laid out and send it back to us as a layered file.  You can also send us png's of the art or psd/ai files of the specific art.  We will use that art to place onto the 3D cards on our end.

FAQs

Is this for a single item or multiple?
This is for a single item.  The amount of labor time required to create these is a lot, so each item you may have would be a different item for purchase.

Can this file be used on any marketplace?
Not all marketplaces support a GLB files natively, so please check if they have a viewer, or you can host it on a place like sketchfab.  Most of the larger platforms do allow it, but it is important to double-check.  Shopify has some add on apps, but they often are to add in pre-fabbed GLB files and not custom designs.  We can host it on sketchfab for you with a private link that will provide code for you to place in your store/ks like is on this item and is interactive and can even be viewed in VR.

Why does it add cost for a backstamp or card?
We have to charge for the additional art/labor time to create them.

What is hosting on Sketchfab?
Sketchfab is a 3D viewer that allows edits and also web viewing like seen above.  You can get your own free, limited account there, or we can host it for you and provide a private link and code to paste.  We have to charge a small amount simply because we pay for the service and the more items hosted, the more we get charged.  It's only $10 to have us upload and host it for you/provide all information.

Can I do variants?
Yes.  You can choose to add variants.  It adds cost to your order because of the added labor time to create multiple versions.  

What is a GLB file?
A GLB is an interactive, 3D filetype.  This file type can also be used in VR or AR applications.

Can I sell my pin through a storefront like Shopify or Etsy?
We are providing this service as art creation only.  What you do with it is up to you.  Generally speaking, these wouldn't be sold as an item unless you chose to mint it to a blockchain.  You could use it as an image for a pre-sale, so you have a professional looking mock up.  

I have no clue how to use a GLB file...how else can I get the files?
If you'd like us to send a png at a certain angle or on a background of your choice that you send us, we can do that no problem for you.  

Can these be minted to a blockchain?
You can use the files however you'd like.  Some sites allow GLB files for minting, but it is best to do your own research to see if your platform of choice supports a GLB file.

Do you make other items?
For right now, we are just doing pins.  If you have a different item you are interested, please email us and we can see if it is doable on our end.
